1) Why did you become an optometrist?
After graduating from NC State University, I worked at a basic science research lab at NC State. I wanted to go to graduate school but was not sure what area to study.
I shadowed an optometrist in Chapel Hill that also specialized in low vision during that time. She showed me the many options of optometry and the ability of balancing a profession and family life.
2) What inspired you to practice in Charlotte, NC?
I previously practiced in the North Charlotte area. I am familiar with the area and excited to be practicing in Charlotte again.
3) What is your favorite thing about being an eye doctor?
Helping patients see better either through glasses or contacts or both. Everyone uses their eyes in different ways throughout the day. I enjoy helping people use the different tools available to see better.
4) What do you feel makes Reflect Vision Care different?
The Reflect Vision Care office is efficient and organized. We care about our patients and employees.
5) What do you like to do when you're not seeing patients?
I enjoy reading, working out and yoga. I like to travel with my husband and son to the NC mountains and NC coast.
